I would like to let you know how pleased I am with the job you and your crew did painting my house. I am especially pleased with all the prep work that was done before the actual painting began. I know how important that is and how poorly a paint job fares without good preparation of the surfaces below the paint. Your crew was efficient, professional, friendly, and careful ? and took the time to make friends with my elderly dog so he was not disturbed or upset by the work being done.

I am also pleased and grateful for your honesty in letting me know of problems with portions of the house which made painting a bad idea at this time. You were careful to explain how moisture, especially in this year's (2005) extended rainy season, and surface problems in some of the fascia would result in a paint job that would not last as long as the rest of the house. I now have the chance to correct these problems before I continue with the next part of the job.

MoonDance Painting just painted two of the 16 units at Cecilia Place Homes ? an affordable housing community for seniors. Both management and residents were delighted with the quality of MoonDance's work, as well as their customer service.

While contracted painters occasionally "cut corners," there was none of that with MoonDance. They worked quickly and efficiently, while doing all the prep work needed to ensure that the job was done right. The crew was constantly supervised by at least one of the owners ? sometimes all three! It is quite obvious that this crew works together frequently ? no one had just been picked up from a street corner. They left the worksite neat at night and spotless at the job's end.

I appreciated that MoonDance took the time to talk to residents to find out whether there was anything particular to their unit that they should know about. Both the owners and the workers were sensitive to all requests. Several newly planted vines were covered along with all the other adjacent foliage, but MoonDance took special care to ensure that nothing damaged these plants. Items on porches belonging to residents were carefully moved ? and nothing was broken.

Thank you (and Gene the painter) for the care and concern with which you approached the painting job at my house in El Sobrante. As you know, the weather at this time of year can be quite challenging, from sweltering summer days to the sudden afternoon winds that tear through the canyon.

Initially, I was attracted to MoonDance by the beautiful brochure and your promise of environmentally friendly paint materials and clean-up process. By the end of the job, I was impressed by a number of other things as well, including:

• Clear estimates for each aspect of painting job
• Good communication, frequent visits and calls during job
• Accurate estimates of start and finish times
• Meticulousness of painting, no noticeable spills or breakage
• During the job, adjustment to paint color on trim.

When we decided to paint our house, we dreaded the thought of finding a painter. Our last experience was very unpleasant. This time it was a breeze. Steve gave us a thorough explanation of how his company works. He then gave us a very good price quote. He also gave us lots of advise on how to choose colors and what to accent - or not. It was very helpful as we were being overwhelmed with color choices. His crew were friendly and excellent workers. They took good care of our plants and property. They made many little adjustments in their work schedule for us. The prep work was done well. We were thrilled that they cleaned up very well at the end of every work day and never made a mess on our property or in the gutter while cleaning their equipment. Our house looks great and we are very pleased with the work.

We were recently lining up work to be done on our 80 year old home before putting it on the market. The painter we thought we were going to hire never sent an estimate and just as we were wondering what to do a young woman rang our bell and handed us a leaflet for Moondance Painting. A few days later Steve Stiles came by and within an hour or so had given us a very reasonable estimate for painting most of the inside of our house. When the time came for the work to be done, Angel and his crew arrived on time, set up a neat work area on the porch and then followed all the detailed instructions involved in painting only portions of our woodwork while protecting unpainted woodwork from any hint of paint. Nearly every room got painted: ceilings, walls, woodwork, closets, kitchen cupboards, porch floor, plus outside touchups as needed. They cleaned up every day, were always willing to paint another cupboard or window frame I'd forgotten about.
